ROCKFORD - GOP candidate for Governor, Bruce Rauner, hits the Forest City as part of his "Broken Promises Tour."
Rauner will be at the Guanajuato Grocery Store at noon. The name of the tour is an obvious slight at Gov. Pat Quinn. Last week, Quinn stated during his State of the Budget address that he wants the temporary income tax hike, first passed in 2011, to become permanent.
At the time, Quinn said the hike would not become permanent.
Evelyn Sanguinetti, Rauner's running mate, will also be on hand during Monday's campaign stop.
Eyewitness News is covering the event. We'll have much more on the story tonight at 5pm.
