WTVO/WQRF - Governor Pat Quinn announcing Thursday his support for a growing controversial issue.

The Governor says he supports legislation that would end puppy mill sales in pet stores. The bill would require pet shops only sell dogs and cats supplied from animal shelters or animal control facilities.

Illinois would be the first state in the nation to have those requirements.
