WTVO/WQRF -- The vote tabulating machines from the Illinois primary aren't even cold yet, and already, the stage is being set for what many pundits predict will be one of the nastiest and the most expensive Governor's race in Illinois history.

Thursday, Governor Quinn's campaign released a new video comparing Republican nominee Bruce Rauner to a character from the Fox show 'The Simpsons.'

You can watch it here:

"Billionaire Bruce Rauner is the C. Montgomery Burns of Illinois," Quinn for Illinois Deputy Press Secretary Izabela Miltko said. "While it's not clear exactly what Rauner has against working families, he's got some explaining to do about why on earth he'd want to cut the minimum wage."

The minimum wage issue has caused Rauner some headaches.  Rauner denied reports saying he wants to cut Illinois' minimum wage to the federal level of $7.25/hr., saying he was misquoted.  He then added he would even consider raising it as Governor in exchange for tax breaks for businesses.

Nonetheless, expect the Quinn camp to harp on the issues contained within the video, specifically that Rauner is a very rich guy who is out of touch with the needs of the middle class people in Illinois.
