JANESVILLE - A man learns running from police is not so easy.

Bradley Bobzien, 52, was arrested Tuesday night.  He was wanted for an outstanding battery warrant from the Department of Corrections.

Around 6pm near North Main St and E. Centerway Dr., an officer tried to pull him over.  However, Bobzien fled the scene and the chase began.  Police say Bobzien stopped one minute into the chase, got out of his car, and jumped into the river near the Centerway dam.

The police department immediately deployed water rescue tools to apprehend Bobzien.  He drifted south to the Milwaukee Street Bridge.  Officers say he was in distress.  Bobzien was eventually convinced to hold onto rescue rope.

Bobzien was pulled out of the water and taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment.  He was soon transferred to the Rock County Jail.  For his efforts, Bobzien now faces a charge of resisting an officer.
