Jesse Jackson Jr. To Get Out of Prison Early


CHICAGO - Former congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is on track to be released from federal prison earlier than expected.

Jackson is now scheduled to be released September 20, 2015 after completing his drug/alcohol treatment program.

He was originally set to be released Dec. 31, 2015.

The Chicago democrat is serving a 2.5 year sentence after admitting to illegally using campaign money.  He spent $750,000 of donors' money on more than 3,000 personal items.

The Bureau of Prisons wouldn't say what treatment Jackson receiving.
