ROCKFORD - No relief in sight at the pump.
The average price for gasoline jumped 3 cents in the past week, settling at $3.76/g, according to GasBuddy.com.
Nationwide, drivers are only paying an extra two cents. Still, experts say filling up your tank could get a little easier soon.
"While the national average has risen for the 12th straight week, it is like nearing a peak" says Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. "Oil inventories are at their highest ever level as reported by the Energy Information Administration... which should help propel oil prices lower in coming weeks."
Crude oil stocks are at a record high of 397.7 million barrels.
