Loves Park- Kevin Flack dreams of playing in the PGA, but this winter has put a handicap on his golf game.

Flack says “players down south have a huge advantage as far as it comes to competitive golf. So ya, they get to play year round and us golfers in the Midwest have to suffer through these winters.

That’s why he’s at Victory Golf Range in Loves Park practicing his swing. The indoor golfing facility has seen a 50% increase in business since January.

Owner Saul Robles says “they want to know what the experience is like. You know practicing in an indoor facility.”

Rockford East High School golfer Sean Miller says the weather leaves him with no choice but to tee off into hibernation.

Miller says “it’s kind of hard to chase a white ball around when it’s snowing, so the only place to do it is finding a dome or an indoor range.”

Victory Golf Range has been around for more than 6 months. They hope to host tournaments in the near future.
