Rockford - Two stateline-area trucking companies are putting together a relief package for victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, TX.
'Meiborg Trucking' and 'Silver Arrow Express' packed two trucks worth of food. Organizers say once Harvey made landfall... there was no hesitation in trying to figure out ways to help out victims.
Zach Meiborg, President of Meiborg Inc. said, "The main message to take away is that people care. There was a need in Houston, and a lot of people have all come together to make it possible to take the excess that we have in our region and help another region out."
The trucks will head out tomorrow morning. They expect to arrive in Houston by Saturday.
