ROCKFORD - The man killed in a three-car crash on N. Second Street just outside Nicholas Conservatory Tuesday night has been identified, and his official cause of death released.
Nicholas Williams, 31, was killed in the crash that also injured four others. Police say he was traveling northbound, turning left into Nicholas Conservatory when he was hit by a car traveling southbound on N. Second. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Williams's official cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma to the head and chest.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
