Belvidere School Superintendent Michael Houselog just finished his 5th year in district 100. And he leads from a unique prospective in that he's also a parent.

Houselog says his goal is to continue to invest in the district's teaching and professional staff.
"We have two full time mentors that do nothing but work with out first and second year teachers. It's really allowed them to sharpen their skills...to become better at their craft."
It's a team effort ...administrators work with teachers with the support of the board ... all with one goal in mind.
"Create better opportunities for the kids in this district. That's what ultimately what I hope to be able to do over the next many years that I want to continue to work here."
Houselog just finished his 38th year in education.
