ROCKFORD - The woman rescued from the Rock River Sunday night is now recovering at a Rockford hospital. She's listed in stable condition.
Fire officials say she jumped into the river off of the Jefferson Street Bridge. Firefighters spotted her moving rapidly down river and were able to pull her out near Davis Park.
Rockford firefighters responded to a water rescue in downtown Rockford Sunday night.
Crews were called to the State Street a little after 9:30 p.m. About 15 minutes later, they pulled someone from the Rock River near Davis Park. That individual was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Their condition is unknown at this time.
