Rockton, Ill.--After seeing a day's worth of television coverage of the destruction in Moore, Oklahoma, Brad Lewis picked up the phone.

"I called Jim (Mackey), and I said we gotta do something," Lewis said.

Operation Oklahoma was underway thanks to the help of Lewis's employer and Stateline residents, the two are accepting donations. The items needed are simple.

"Toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper," Mackey said. "Clean out your pantry. Whatever you don't need, the folks in Oklahoma could definitely use it."

One former teacher was inspired to help due in large part by the heroic actions of the teachers at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore.

"When I saw those kids and hearing how those teachers protect their kids, I know my kids' teachers would do the same." Calabrese said.

"Some of these people have lost everything."
