Oregon Police are continuing to investigate a fight that spilled outside a home at 804 Monroe Street just after 3 A.M. Saturday morning that eventually left Jon Williams, 18, dead.

Witnesses say the brawl started when uninvited guests got into an argument when someone changed the music at the party.

After refusing to leave, a fight began and witnesses say Williams was struck in the face, leaving him unconscious.
At 8:19 A.M. on Saturday the Oregon Police Department assisted the Oregon Ambulance with an EMS call to the home.

At 12:33 P.M. on Sunday the Winnebago County Coroners Office advised the Oregon Police Department that Jonathan Williams was pronounced dead.

The Oregon Police Department is working closely with Ogle County States Attorney Mike Rock and the incident remains under investigation at this time.

At 7:16 P.M. on Sunday Oregon Police arrested Justin W. Coltrain 33, Mt. Morris for battery. The victim of this battery was not Jonathan Williams, but the arrest was a result of the continuing investigation into this incident.

Anyone who may have photographs or video of the incident is urged to contact the Oregon Police Department at (815) 732-2162.

According to the Winnebago County Coroner's Office an autopsy will be conducted within the next few days.

Oregon High School students are set to start classes Wednesday.
