ROCKFORD - The group in charge of bringing in acts at three downtown venues names its new leader.
The Rockford Area Venues and Entertainment Authority tapped Troy Flynn as its new General Manager and Executive Director. Flynn most recently served as the Vice President of Operations for the Prudential Center in New jersey. He served in that capacity since 2010. Flynn officially started the job on Monday.
Flynn says he'd like to bring in multiple day events to the BMO Harris Bank Centre.
He replaces the outgoing GM and Exec. Director Gordon Kaye. Kaye resigned to be with his family in Colorado.
