Rep. Kinzinger to Stop in Rockford to Discuss Opioid Epidemic

The congressman will address issues facing the state at the closed event.

ROCKFORD - Congressman Adam Kinzinger will be in Rockford Monday afternoon to address the ongoing opioid crisis locally and across the country.

Kinzinger will tour a Rosecrance facility with members of the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department as well as Rosecrance president and CEO Phil Eaton to discuss the opioid epidemic and how the federal response will impact northern Illinois.

The event is closed to the public.

Eyewitness News will have a crew there taking part in a brief Q&A following the tour with the congressman. Full coverage can be seen Monday night on Eyewitness News at 9 and 10.
