ROCKFORD - A man accused of murder doesn't even put up a fight to clear his name.

Wyatt Hawkins, 31, agreed to a plea deal for his role in the murder of Troy Crecy back in 2012.  Hawkins pled guilty to 2nd degree murder.  In exchange, he'll spend the next 16 years in prison.

The shooting happened at a home on 8th Street in July 2012.  Police found Crecy with a bullet in his stomach.  At the times, witnesses said Hawkins got into a fight with Crecy and shot him.
