ROCKFORD - The Illinois Lottery reports that Samuel Zammuto of Rockford has won a top prize $250,000 jackpot in their Black Ice 7s scratch-off game.
Zammute purchased his ticket at the Fas Mart at 6010 E. Riverside Blvd. in Loves Park. The retailer will also receive a 1% bonus, which is $2500.
Zammuto told lottery officials he plans to use his winnings to invest in his grandchildren’s education.
Black Ice 7s is a $5 instant ticket that features seven top prizes of $250,000. Lottery officials say four of those jackpots have still not been claimed.
