ROCKFORD - A Thursday afternoon crash scene in west Rockford turned into a double-crash scene after someone rear-ended a Rockford Police car.
The call came in at around 1:30pm for a rollover crash involving two vehicles with extrication needed near the intersection of Auburn St. and Central Ave. One of the responding officers was rear-ended hard enough to tear the bumper off his vehicle. The officer was not hurt nor was the driver who hit him.
As for the other crash scene, as bad as it sounded, no one was hurt there either.
No word on whether any citations were issued as the investigation is ongoing.
