Lisa Sympson of Acculynx says “we were running out of space in our Rockton offices so we turned to our current landlord Hendricks Commercial Properties and they had some space available in the Ironworks Building. And just so happened there was a couple of other tech companies there. The space fits us.”
But here was also an offer that sweetened the move. The owner says Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker offered them a tax incentive to employ workers in Wisconsin.
Vice President of Rockton Chamber of Commerce and owner of Rycom Ryan Rydell is happy to see the company thriving, but sad to see them leave.
He says “its unfortunate when you see a business grow then leave the area, and you have to ask why that’s happening.”
He’s hoping this will not become a trend adding “ultimately the chamber needs to look at it as why they leaving and what can we do to remedy that situation to replace new businesses here to replace the loss that we’re seeing.”
The company says their workers are very excited about the move. The owner does own two additionally business in Rockton, and doesn’t plan on moving them.
