In Rockford, salt trucks are out on all major and residential roadways.

Odd-Even parking is in effect for the Forest City. Cars should be on the odd-numbered side of the street until tomorrow at 8 A.M.  Then the city is asking they be moved to the even-numbered side of the road.

Rockford Public Works wants residents to know they're not responsible for plowing alley ways.

To our north the City of Beloit is also declaring a snow emergency. The declaration is in effect until 1 A.M. Monday morning. Parking is not allowed on any Beloit street during this time. Vehicles will be ticketed or towed by Beloit police. Residents are advised to park in designated lots.

And starting at 10 P.M. Saturday the Village of Machesney Park will declare a snow emergency. No vehicles can be parked on roadways until they are cleared.

Effective immediately, the Village of Cherry Valley has implemented its winter parking regulation ordinance. No vehicles are allowed to park on village streets for the duration of the winter storm warning, or until all streets have been cleared.

As of 7 AM., the City of Freeport has declared a snow emergency. Effective immediately are the winter parking regulations. They are in effect for the next 24 hours.
