Stateline High School Students Get an Inside Look at the Automotive Industry

ROCKFORD - Graduating stateline high school students get an inside look at careers in the automotive industry.

The Universal Technical Institute giving students a behind the scenes look in the manufacturing field. Students toured Anderson Toyota's state-of-the-industry shop.

Officials say it's important to give the younger generation a look at a growing field in the area.

"We want to show Rockford hires technicians," says Bruce Bausman of UTI. "There's a need for technicians and there's opportunities for students who have the technical skills to be able to work in the transportation industry."

Participants also talked with current employees about working with brands like Ford and Toyota.
