Rockford- More than 500 Stateliners will be taking a trip with the Diocese of Rockford to Washington D.C for the March for Life Pro Life Rally. Students from St. Rita Pro Life Club loaded up on a bus to head to Washington D.C
Organizer of the group Jean Peterson said of the group “we’re trying to change the culture here, and have more respect for life and so we have this pro-life club at school, and the kids are really involved in the speaking up for the dignity of human life.”"
The group knows they will be met with opposition. Barbara Giolitto of the Winnebago County Citizens for Choice says “for people like that to go out and protest and a woman’s right to making a decision on what she does with her body is anti democratic for sure.”
The march will be held on Wednesday January 22nd.
