ROCKFORD -- Stateliners worried about jobs warn voters not to elect Bruce Rauner.

The group gathered in Rockford to protest the Republican Gubernatorial Candidate's run for office tonight. They say if Rauner takes office he will push to outsource jobs in the state -- because they say that's how he runs his own businesses. Protesters say it's something the Stateline just can't afford.

"This is about keeping one of these 'vulture' capitalists who think it's a good idea to pack up our jobs and move them somewhere else to keep him from being in the governorship of Illinois," Tom Gaulrapp says, who lost his job at Sensata to outsourced work in China.

"That is just a diversion by Governor Pat Quinn that is absolutely not true," Rauner says, responding to the idea of the protest. "They're just trying to make up statements to try to create a diversion. The fact of the matter is Governor Quinn has failed on jobs."

The group believes Rauner's business skills are not what Illinois needs to succeed.
