ROCKFORD - City officials say that weather permitting, West State Street and Central Avenue will be re-opened to traffic at the end of the day on December 13th even though there is still work to be done.
Construction is still far from finished, but the city wants West State Street open for the winter months.
Road work will continue throughout the winter months, meaning drivers using West State will still face work zone speed limits and are asked to be especially alert in the construction zone.
