OREGON - While 826 ComEd customers are still without electricity in Winnebago County, people in Oregon were also badly hit by severe thunderstorms.

Tim Taylor is the owner of Empty Pockets on South Third Street. His business was hit by lightning Sunday night.

"It pretty much zap about 90% of the electronics I have in there, the jukebox, four TVs, my direct TV, my gaming machines, so pretty much anything that had anything to do with electrical was blown out on Sunday night,” said Taylor

He lost a full day of business due to the bad weather, and then on Monday night things got worse.

"First thing I see before I even open my door is a pile of wires, so I felt that was a pretty good sign that this storm damage has continued," said Taylor.

The latest ComEd numbers say that 542 customers are still without electricity in Ogle County including Oregon. However, the hope is to restore everyone’s power as soon as possible.
