Suspected Heroin Dealer Arrested In Joint Police Operation

BELOIT - Authorities take who they say is a "major heroin dealer" off the streets.

The Rock County Sheriff's Dept and Beloit Police executed a raid at 1631 Johnson Street.  Inside, they found 23 grams of heroin, a gun, ammo, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

David Givhan, 28, was arrested and faces multiple counts of drug charges including:

  • 3 counts of delivery of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school
  • 2 counts of delivery of heroin
  • 4 counts maintaining a drug trafficking place within 1,000 feet of a school
  • 1 count maintaining a drug trafficking place
  • 1 count Possession w/intent to deliver heroin within 1,000 feet of a school
  • 2 counts possession of THC within 1,000 feet of a school
  • 2 counts possession of drug paraphernalia
  • 1 count possession of heroin within 1,000 feet of a  school
  • 1 count felon in possession of a firearm

Givhan is due in court Wednesday.
