ROCKFORD - On Friday, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit searched two Rockford homes, finding heroin and cocaine and leading to two arrests.
Officers executed search warrants in the 500 block S. Greenview Avenue and the 2600 block of Karen Drive. Heroin and crack cocaine was found at the first address while more crack cocaine was found at the second.
Two men were arrested as a result.
Jesse C. Butler, 55, of Rockford is charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine, and obstructing a police officer.
Steve K. Sanders, 54, of Rockford is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Butler was already on parole for the manufacturing and delivery of heroin.
