Rockford Fire Responds To A Blaze On Foster Avenue

Firefighters say the cause is accidental

ROCKFORD - The Rockford Fire Department was dispatched to a two-story residential structure fire on Foster Avenue, just off of West State Street Saturday afternoon. Crews arrived just after 5p.m. and saw smoke coming from a second floor window. 

Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in roughly 10 minutes. All occupants of the home were able to get out. The home is estimated to have 30,000 dollars in damage, the Red Cross will be assisting affected residents to find a temporary place to stay.

No one was hurt, the cause of the fire is determined to be accidental.
