DIXON - A night of debauchery lands 40 people in jail.
Dixon Police responded to a "large and out of control drinking party" in the 200 block of West 1st St. in downtown Dixon late Friday night.
Police say about 80 people were in attendance and half of them were underage. There were reports some party goers urinated from the top of the three story building and throwing beer bottles into an alley.
Dixon Police broke up the party. 38 people were charged consumption of a minor. Rafael Sosa, 20, and Bryan Gutierrez, 20, were both arrested on state charges for consumption of alcohol as minors. Gutierrez is also charged with two counts of resisting a peace officer.
"The Dixon Police Department has a long-standing policy of Zero Tolerance on underage drinking" says Chief Danny Langloss, Jr. "These arrests should serve as a warning to those organizing these types of parties."
Langloss says almost everyone arrested are not from Dixon. The owner of the building wasn't aware of the party and cooperated with police during the investigation.
