UPDATE (3/25/14) - Three teenagers recover from an accident that killed a woman.
The three teens are 18 year-old Johnesia Smith, 18 year-old Monisha Rogers, and 19 year-old Jasmine Harris. They were all passengers in a crash that killed the driver, 21 year-old Suaveya Williams.
ROCKFORD- Around 1 AM a car crashed in the 1300 block of Seminary Street damaging a utility pole and vacant building. Suaveya Williams, 21, was driving the 1998 Chevy Lumina that crashed. Williams died as a result of her injuries.
One passenger, an 18-year-old Rockford woman, was ejected from the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital by Rockford Fire Department with serious non-life threatening injuries. Two other passengers, an 18-year-old Rockford woman and a 19-year-old Rockford woman, were transported to a local hospital.
The damage to the utility pole caused a significant power outage in the area and residents should expect to be without power for several hours.
