UPDATE (5/15/14): Horton received six years in prison.

UPDATE: Clifford Horton was found not guilty Thursday by a jury.  However, he was convicted on one count of mob action.

ROCKFORD - Witness testimony is underway in the murder trial of Clifford Horton.

Horton, is charged with the shooting death of Charles Spivey.  Spivey was killed at a house party in the 2000 block of Sherman Avenue.

Five others were shot, but they all survived.

Two other men were involved in the shooting.  Lamont Cole has already been found guilty and is currently serving a 165 year sentence.

Antwan Maxey, however, is only serving a 3.5 year sentence.  Murder charges against him were dropped because a judge ruled prosecutors violated his right to a speedy trial.  He was convicted only of aggravated fleeing to elude police.
