UPDATE (11:00am): Rising water has forced the Roscoe Police Dept. to close Riverside Park until further notice.

WTVO/WQRF - Many are still in the dark after a large storm system slammed the Stateline.

According to ComEd spokesman Paul Callighan, 1,400 are without power in Winnebago County.  At least 1,200 more are in the dark in Oregon.  The Oregon Courthouse and the Village of Progress Training Center is also closed today due to a power outage.

Dixon is dealing with widespread darkness as well.  About 3,156 customers are without power.

Callighan says there is no estimated time to have the power restored.
