UPDATE: Three Men Involved In Karen Williams Murder Enter Pleas

- UPDATE (11/7/14) - Locke, Brooks, and Fort all pled Not Guilty during an arraignment hearing Friday at the Public Safety Building.  The trio are slated to return to court on Nov. 13th.

UPDATE (10/30/14) - Authorities have issued the following charges against the men allegedly involved in the death of Karen Williams:
  • Bryant Locke - 1st degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravating fleeing to elude
  • D'Angelo Brooks - aggravated discharge of a firearm
  • Rolando Fort - aggravated discharge of a firearm

UPDATE: The Winnebago County Coroner confirms Karen Williams has died due to injuries she suffered in the accident. 

ROCKFORD - Friends and family continue to pray for the woman caught in the aftermath of a car chase. The innocent bystander is still fighting for her life at a Rockford hospital.

Emergency responders pulled 42-year old Karen Williams from a crash scene Wednesday night in Cherry Valley after a high-speed police chase ended with an accident that closed off Perryville road for hours. It started with an armed robbery in Boone County, and spiraled into much more after the three suspects smashed their White Pontiac into William’s car.

The three accused armed robbers, Ronaldo Fort, Deangelo Brooks, and Bryant Locke, were caught just a few minutes after the crash.

Williams' close friends say she was always in a good mood and looked for the best in every situation and are heartbroken that she was involved in this tragedy.
