ROCKFORD - The woman replacing long-time Rep. Chuck Jefferson is sworn-in.
Rep. Litesa Wallace (D-67th) was selected to fill Jefferson's seat after he retired. Wallace says her first move as a legislator is to meet the Stateline residents she'll serve in her new role.
"Speaking with them, getting to know exactly what they would to see done in Springfield" says Wallace. She wants to know "What I can do to bring back resource to Rockford."
Wallace is the first African American female to ever represent the 67th District in Springfield.
