Whiteside County Shooting Injures Several People, Leaves Two Dead

Around 1 A.M. Rock Falls Police were called to Lamb's Tap at 209 West Second Street, Rock Falls for an altercation.

Police found a male, 34, from Rock Falls lying on the sidewalk. He had been shot more than once and was deceased. Two men from Sterling ages 37 and 22 were found with non-life threatening gun shot wounds and transported to Stateline hospitals.

Meanwhile, a 40 year old Sterling man fled on foot across the First Avenue Bridge. A foot pursuit ensued and Sterling Police were called to assist.

The suspect was found in his detached garage at 306 Sixth Street with a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
