Winnebago County State's Attorney Charges Three Men with First Degree Murder

Bruscato charges three men charged with multiple counts of first degree murder

Rockford - Winnebago State's Attorney Joe Bruscato issued a warning to the three wanted men, and that is... it's only a matter of time before you're caught.

Police are looking for William Fontanez, who is wanted for the stabbing death of 19 year-old Alonzo Garuno in May of 2015 on Broadway, near 11th Street.

Geoffrey Brown is accused of shooting two people in May of 2016.  One of them, James Tomlinson, died.  That happened near Broadway and 15th Avenue.

Finally, police are looking for Sean Burks.  He's accused of the New Year's Day murder of Joshua Jamerson at Cliffbreakers.  It happened during a party at the resort.  In that case, three others were also shot, but survived.  Burks faces nearly three dozen counts of First Degree Murder.

Bruscato today warned the suspects that they will be brought to justice.

He said, "I have a very direct message for those of you who are committing the violent crimes in our community: we are coming for you, we know who you are, we are investigating these cases, and when we have the evidence we will issue charges."

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these three wanted suspects should contact Rockford Police or Crimestoppers.
