Citizens Utility Board teaming up with Senator Steve Stadelman to offer Stateliners tips on how to lower their utility bills. The bone chilling temperatures have forced furnaces to work overtime. 

 

Members of the Citizens Utility Board say being energy efficient is the best way to keep your utility bills down.

               

That includes lowering your water heater's temperature, make sure your pipes are insulated, If you don't have a programmable thermostat, they suggest buying one, and keep the temperature on the coldest comfortable level possible.
