Tuesday afternoon, WTVO/FOX 39 hosted the National Weather Service's annual fall meeting for all the local media outlets in Rockford.
Topics at the meeting included the winter outlook for the Stateline and what could be done to improve how weather information reached the public.
Before the meeting, WTVO/FOX 39 also became one of the first television stations in the region to become StormReady certified by the National Weather Service.
The StormReady title is given to communities and organizations that improve public safety by promoting weather safety within their own group.
