2017 Rockford ProAM Lineup

Boo Weekley returns for another round of golf at the Rockford Country Club.

ROCKFORD - The longest running free-standing pro am in the nation is gearing up for two days of fun.

"We're a little over a month away just a month and a couple of days. We've got all the pros signed for the number of foursomes that we have right now," says Tournament Director Judi Sheley. "Our Sunday evening event is all signed, sealed, and delivered. Now all we have to do is wait for that day and hope for good weather."

The 41st Rockford ProAm, just like previous ProAMs, does not disappoint. The tournament features a number of successful golfers in this year's field.

" I'm really excited about the field we have," says pro recruiter Adam Nicholas. "Adding it up, and figuring it out they've made over $118 millon in their career. They've won 15 events on the PGA Tour, and 8 on the LPGA Tour. It's a very decorated group that we have coming in so far to this point."

Last year's big name Boo Weekly is back for another round, and Scott Stallings returns with three tour wins on his resume after a short absence. Brittany Lincicome and Gerina Piller are making a return as well. Lincicome is a 2-time major champion, and Pillar participated  in the 2016Olympic Games in Rio for team USA.

"It's always been a success of our event of bringing good personalities back," says Nicholas. "I mean there's only a certain number of players that our out there that have the type of personality that you want to have with an amateur group every year."

Adam does a great job of recruiting, but on thing that helps him is the event's history and good reputation.

"The word of mouth has been great. Anybody that's ever been here speaks highly of us. So when we want to go talk to a friend of somebody that we've had in the past or an agent the world of mouth is very good and makes it easy on me."

The two-day event will take place July 16-17th at the Rockford Country Club.
