The Rockford Aviators took on the Washington Wild Things Sunday night in a double header. The wildest thing of the night occurred in the fifth inning of the first game. The Aviators trailed 9-3 and Rockford Coach James Frisbie started arguing across the field with Washington's Coaching Staff. It did not seem to be a specific play that sparked the outburst but Frisbie was extremely frustrated. He made his way to home plate and started arguing with the umpire. Then Frisbie walked over to the first base dugoutand continued to yell at the opposing coaches. Both teams got involved pushing and shoving. The umpires tried to break up the quarrel and eventually the teams separated. Frisbie was ejected from the game and escorted out of the ballpark. None of the players were ejected due to the incident. No word yet on further consequences of Frisbie's actions.
The Aviators dropped the first game 12-7 to the Wild Things but they rallied to win the second game 4-3.
