Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith was awarded the 2014 Norris Trophy Tuesday evening at the NHL Awards. The Norris Trophy recognizes the best defenseman in the NHL. The 30-year-old defenseman had 61 points in 79 games in the 2013-14 season. Keith beat out Zdeno Chara from the Boston Bruins and Shea Weber from the Nashville Predators. Keith was named on 129 of 137 ballots and had 68 first-place votes to win the award from the Professional Hockey Writers Association. The last time Keith won the award was in 2010.
