As good as the Blackhawks gave it out in Game 1 against the Detroit Red Wings, they had to take it back in Game 2.
Detroit scored the last four goals of the game, peppering Corey Crawford with 30 shots and getting numerous open looks because of defensive lapses from the Blackhawks. Chicago scored in the first period when Michael Handzus fed Patrick Kane for a one-timer, but the Red Wings took the lead for good with close to four minutes left in the third period.
Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard only faced 20 shots from the usually potent Chicago offense.
Game 3 is in Detroit on Monday.
