Titans Ready For Another NIC-10 Title Run

ROCKFORD-Eight straight unbeaten conference seasons. A 74 game wining streak. 22 playoff appearances in 23 years. But to this year's Titans, those are just numbers.

"We don't talk about it," says head coach John Cacciatore. "We just come out here and try to get better. As a coaching staff, we try and measure that did we get better day to day."

"This year we can just continue what people have done in the past, but we can start our own legacy as of this year," says receiver Steve Herra.

Minnesota bound quarterback Demry Croft is part of that legacy.

"Demry did a lot of camps this summer. He just looks better than we've seen him in the past," says Cacciatore.

Ryan Stanicik broke the school record for number of catches and will be a huge target for Croft.

"We feel really good about bringing a record breaker back who can track the defense, who can catch the ball in the space, who can go long, and can run the ball for us," says Cacciatore.

I think that's one thing that's really going to help is the experience we have coming back this year," says linebacker Sean Martin. "We've got a pretty solid defense coming back as well."

The offense should be solid, but the Titans' true strength is on the other side of the ball.

"As much as people want to watch the offense, the strength of what we do will be what we do on defense," says Cacciatore. "We're still starting day one as if the defense is our foundation. It starts upfront with our defensive line, Tony Billich and DeSean Sullivan."

The Titans will have a different focus each week to prepare for that Friday night game.

Can we adapt and adjust each week? I don't want to put a number on it, but I know our hands are going to be full all season," says Cacciatore.
