BUFFALO, NY-This isn't what Hononegah graduate David Brown had in mind when he dreamed of playing in the NCAA Tournament. Thursday in the opening round Brown and Western Michigan were routed by Syracuse 77-53. The Broncos trailed 17-4 early and they were never in the game.

Brown struggled with his shooting. He made only 2 of 12 shots from the field including 2 of 10 from three point range. He finished with nine points and four turnovers. Brown tweaked his knee late in the first half when he drove to the basket and collided with an opponent. He was never the same after that.

The Broncos finish their season with a 23-10 record.
