LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY-California Chrome lived up to the hype Saturday at Churchill Downs. The heavy favorite at 2-1 took command out of the final turn and pulled away to win the Kentucky Derby by nearly two lengths. It's California Chrome's fifth straight victory.

Jockey Victor Espinoza was on board the colt. It's time in the mile and a quarter race was 2:03.66.  At 77 trainer Art Sherman became the oldest trainer ever to win the Kentucky Derby.

Commanding Curve finished second.  Danza was third. Wicked Strong was fourth.
