BELVIDERE-Young Stateline basketball players are working on developing their skills this week. 170 of them are filling the courts at Belvidere North High School for the Rockford All-Star Basketball Camp.

This camp has been held every year since 1982 under the direction of former Guilford standout Dale Greenlee. Typically the camp has been held at Jefferson High School, but it was moved this year due to the renovations going on at Jefferson.

Greenlee says he wants these kids to develop individual skills, learn to work as a group and,

"Third is we stress a very positive attitude," says Greenlee. "You're competing against yourself. So even though somebody else in your group may be better than you today, your goal is to get better so you can improve tomorrow."

"We're just doing a lot of drills throughout camp," says camper Nathan Lendman. "We went outside today. We went out and watched, learned about the rules of basketball. And it's a really fun time."
