ROCKFORD - Danny Gorman is a man on a mission this summer. The former Boylan Titan picked up his second tournament win in a row at this weekend's Melvin Ballard Memorial Tournament.
Gorman came into Sunday tied for first with college teammate Kyle Slattery after both golfers finished with a 67 at Ingersoll. On Sunday the two were still neck and neck after fifteen at Sandy Hollow. Gorman pulled away late with birdies on both 16 and 18 handing him a two-stroke victory.
In the women's championship Carson Racich entered Sunday with a four-stroke lead over Melissa Vansistine. But a 79 on day two rallied Vansistine to a one-stroke win.
