Kevin Flack continued his torrid streak of golf, playing well on the first day of the Aldeen Cup and taking a two stroke lead into the final round.
If not for Flack, Eric Burch might have a couple of tournament wins this summer. Burch was good again, hitting a 72 and landing in second place.
Robert Dofflemeyer was the best local golfer at the Illinois Amateur Championship earlier in the week at Aldeen, and he carried some of that momentum into the Aldeen Cup, hitting a 73 on Saturday, just three strokes back of the lead.
