ROCKFORD-What Stateline youngster doesn't want to learn the game of basketball from Fred Van Vleet? Some of them did Wednesday evening.

The Rockford Five-O Elite Guard Camp opened up at Marshall Middle School. Van Vleet was one of the counselors along with his brothers Darnell, and J.D. Danforth and their father Joe Danforth. Auburn coach Bryan Ott was also there. But it's the chance to meet Van Vleet that lights up these youngsters.

"It's exciting to see that someone who made it out of Rockford came down back here," says Haniefe Johnson one of the campers.

"It's pretty cool to see somebody at that college level to come show us some tips and tell us what he does to get so good at basketball," says Nikolas Stadelman.

The camp runs through Friday.
