Van Vleet To Appear At Local Camp

ROCKFORD-Fred Van Vleet will be passing on some of his basketball knowledge to local youngsters. He'll be a counselor at the upcoming Rockford Five-O Elite Guard Camp.

The camp is open to boys in grades 6 through 8. It'll be held Wednesday, May 21st through Saturday, May 24th at Marshall Middle School. The hours will be from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Van Vleet's brother J.D. Danforth, another former Auburn High School basketball standout, will also be a counselor. Camp staff also includes Auburn coaches Brian Ott, Joe Danforth, Hosea Harris and Darnell Van Vleet.

The camps will focus on advanced guard skills and how to thrive as an undersized guard.
